Yes a 401 is a chassis only number, a 145" WB chassis. Is it a 145"WB?
You say in other posts a type 404B (title says 414 which doesn't exist). Strange things happen over the early life of these cars, someone may have married the two at some point.
Looks like it was sold as a chassis. Custom body maybe?

Does anyone know what a LaBaron 401 series is? Sedan or Limo or something else.
The documentation just came back from the Henry Ford Library and it states she is a LaBaron series 401. I haven't been able to find anything on the computer describing a 401 series.
