I have the same problem on both sides I have been recently told that someone is remanufacturing them. I am not sure this is true. I will know as soon as my guy returns from Hershey

I have a cracked cylinder block/ "jug" on the drivers side of my Model L. In a conversation with Joe Rogers, i learned that this problem is not uncommon with the 1927-30 Model L engines--but spares are now VERY scarce. Have spoken with Ray T., and he is trying to locate one. Does any member have any leads?

I have been researching possible repair techniques for cracked blocks. Two appear potentially viable: "pinning" and "stitch welding." Neither is bullet-proof; in fact, both are very difficult. Does anyone know of other methods to weld or repair?

Very much appreciate suggestions/recommendations/technical comments. My info is in the member roster, if you would like to call and talk this over. Thanks! Brownie
P.S. Thanks to all who made the trek to Maine in May--what a great time we had!
