Lincoln "K" Parts or Cars Wanted

clutch release and pilot bearings needed for a 193...
Author Last Post
Thomas. I hope you haven't opened up your Lincoln already. The growling that occurs in those front transmission and clutch bearings is a function of occcasional use and not necessarily bearing failure. About 38 years ago I replaced those bearings because they were noisy when cold. Guess What? The noise was back in a couple years. There is a grease fitting whereby you can lubricate the clutch release bearing if it is just like the original. I'm not sure that works with a replacement bearing. Bear in mind these cars are 80+ years old and built to a different technology than the 'modern' plastic. You'll have ''a more harmonious outcome'' in your Lincoln experience if you keep that in mind. By the way. If you are using gasoline with ethanol or MBTE in it you should drain your fuel tank dry every time you are not using it. Mike
I've since identified the 1931 clutch pilot and release bearing numbers in case others are interested,
The release bearing is "National#2065, or Borg Warner#N1087, both commonly found
The pilot bearing is a standard bearing number, #6204, also commonly found.
I'm in need of 2 clutch release bearings and 2 pilot bearings, either a source to buy from or the common bearing part numbers. It so happens both my cars are in immediate need of these bearings.
I'm also still in need of the rear seat vanities, luggage rack arms, etc. Please see my previously posted want list. I still have a few spare parts for 1931 cars, just ask.
